토론토시는 앞으로 몇 주 안에 과속카메라의 모든 위치를 바꿀 예정입니다. 토론토시에 따르면, 5월에 50개의 과속카메라(Automated Speed Enforcement)의 위치가 3차 장소로 모두 이동할 예정이라고 밝혔습니다. 이러한 이동은 더 많은 지역에서 속도감속을 돕기 위한 조치입니다.
새롭게 설치되는 과속카메라의 위치는 자동차 과속 및 충돌 문제가 있는 도심 지역을 우선순위로 결정되었습니다. 토론토시에는 각 구역마다 서로 다른 장소에 두 대의 과속카메라가 설치되어 있으며, 과속차량의 사진을 찍고 자동으로 티켓을 발행합니다. 작년 12월 한 달에만, 2만 2000여 장의 티켓이 발행되었습니다.
